    3. My experience with IRAD has been excellent. Just send in your request and they will send you your copies with a bill. Just yesterday I got a packet of documents from Western Illinois University IRAD with a letter billing me for the costs: "The charge for photocopies at the Western Illinois University depository is ten (10) cents per page with a minimum charge of one (1) dollar for ten (10) copies or less. Your request required 80 copies so your charge is $8.00. Pleae make your check payable to Western Illinois University." I had one the other day from the one in Chicago and they billed me $2 which I mailed back promptly. If you know the charges it will expedite things to pay in advance, but most of my requests I just write and ask what can I obtain and how much. Usually they check for me and write back itemizing the costs, often having the copies made and ready. It probably varies depending on where you are writing. IRAD has been excellent in turnaround time and they seem to do their best to find documents for you . . . so far. The Knox County Clerk's office gives really good service, too. They really seem to try to find your documents and are very prompt. If you don't know what the charge will be, just write them and they will itemize the costs for you. Alice
