I have been searching for an Auguste Meyer(s) that was in New Orleans, but is rumored to have been in the Knox or Rock Island counties area in this same time frame. Seems he dropped off the face of the earth, as far as the passed down information is concerned. Perhaps there is a reason he dropped out of sight beyond poor memories??????? Thanks!
