Hi Pat I am having trouble getting a message to IlKNOX. I have tried several different addresses and I always get the response that it cannot be delivered.Here is my message. Can you relay it for me? I am seeking any descendents of Artemus/Isaac and Mary/Polly Smith. They had eleven children and they came to Knox County in the mid 1830's. They lived in the area of Old Henderson. Artemus was shot accidently while hunting with his son-in-law John McNaughton.His wife was Elizabeth Grace. Other children were Diadamia who married Henry Aria,Isaac who was a Dr. and died single,Clarissa Armeda who married L.C.Field,Artemis who married Amanda Woodward, John Lowry who also married Amanda after Artemis died.They named thier first chil Ario Wilcox. He was stillborn and they named their last child the same name.My great grandmother was another sister. Her name was Hariet Amelia. She married William L. Clay. They were divorced. They lived in Henry County during their marriage. I would like to contact anyone who might know who the parents of Artemis/Isaac would be. Also an obituary and a divorce record for Harriet Amelia.She died onFebruary 3, 1863 in either Knox or Henry County. She is still married to Mr. Clay in the 1860 census so the divorce occured sometime after that and before her death in 1863. Any help will be much appreciated. Wilma Atkinson
