I am seeking information on Thompson and Rebecca (Gilleland) Rude and their children who settled in Orange twp. c. 1835. Thompson Rude died in 1848; I am seeking his death date and burial place. His wife Rebecca died in 1855. Her will was proved in May 1855; I am seeking her death date and place. I have seen the History of Knox Co. about the first murder in the county which relates that Thompson's son Silas killed the local doctor, so I don't need this info. I am mainly interested in finding the death dates for Thompson and Rebecca Rude and the cemetery in which they are buried. If someone has access to the 1850 census of Knox Co., I would appreciate a look-up for these households which are their married daughters: 1. LANDER, Alexander (what a mouthful) m. Margaret Rude in 1849 2. LANDON or LANDER, Charles m. Mary Ann Rude in 1838 3. ASHLY, Thomas m. Celia B. Rude. They inherited Celia's mother's land in 1855 when Rebecca died. 4. SAUNDERS, Claiborne C. m. Hester Ann Rude in 1838. History book says they left Knox Co. but I have not been able to confirm this. They may be on the 1850 Knox Co. census.
