I am researching surnames of Smith and Roberson and believe that some of these relatives may be buried in this cemetery.

    3. The Indian Point Dawdy-Boydston Cemetery does not list either of these surnames. There is a comment listed: "Many old stones are not legible. Sunken ground indicates more burials with no stones. It is said many have been removed to Abingdon, Illinois Cemetery". The surnames listed in the pamphlet that I have are: Avery, Bell, Bower, Boydston, Landis, Bradley, Darling, Dickerson, Dawdy/Dowdy, Easter, Gossett, Hardy, Killiam, McCord, Meek, Mullies, Riggs, Roe, Rollins. I also have a cemetery pamphlet for Chestnut Twp., to the east of Indian Point. I see the following Smiths: Charles E. - Hermon Methodist Church Ceme. Ella A. " Harvey W. " Martha " infant son " Phillip " William K. " John F. - Hermon Christian Church Ceme. Mary " Allena " Robert E. " Eliza J. " Siniac " Charles " Susannah " George M. - Harper Cemetery, 5 miles west of Maquon Rachel E. " Priscilla I. " I found no Robersons.....only Robison: Catherine - Hermon Methodist Church Ceme. Emily " John " Nina " William H. " Annie - Hermon Christian Cemetery A. R. " Martha E. " I just happened to have these two booklets because of my own family searches.
