Lynn, Are you somehow related to Rebecca Alford? Her son William Wisenburg is my ancestor and several of us throughout the US are working on doing the genealogy. Rebecca's maiden name was Smith and apparently there are several birthdates possible for her. From what I can tell, it appears Rebecca and Carlos (Charles) Alford moved from Knox County sometime after their 1851 marriage to Peoria County, IL. They are both buried in the Princeville Twp Cemetary in Princeville, IL. If you are interested in the Wisenburg line, the family bible is available online at www.iltrails.org Appreciate the info on the census and the names of the parents.
