Beleived to be William Sheaffer, son of Levi Sheaffer - blacksmith in Abingdon according to 1870 Census records. Have found listing on One World tree that states "Libbie Crawford" was married to William Sheaffer - however no contact or source information. Libbie/Elizabeth went to school at Hedding College and her grandfather was a reverend. If William was her husband and a blacksmith it would possibly make sense that they ran away. I have her other 2 marriage certificates and hoping to pair up with a fellow family member on this line to find out any family notes on her. Have check all Illinois marriage records, Royals death certificate does not have a fathers name, 1880 census states her as widowed, and Royal is living with an aunt in 1885.
