    3. There are Naturalization records at the Knox Co., Courthouse. But first go to the Galesburg Public Library, Genealogy section. They have a list of the records at the courthouse in book form. The last time I was there the book was on the shelves near the census indexes. Once you have determined that a record exists then go to the courthouse and ask for the naturalization records. They consist of a card file and several books. The records are not with the marriage/death records but in another room. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jude" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 27, 2004 10:30 PM Subject: [ILKNOX-L] Naturalization Records > Hi Knox County Listers: > > Does anyone know if naturalization records from the mid-late 1800's are kept > at the County Probate Court? 3. Hi Dennis: DO you know if the Library takes phone search requests? I am in California and cannot readily search in person. I heard from another lister, Marge, that she found naturalization records at her ancestors' county courthouse. I will keep your email and try from long distance for the records. Thanks, Jude -----Original Message----- From: Dennis Adams [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 28, 2004 6:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ILKNOX-L] Naturalization Records There are Naturalization records at the Knox Co., Courthouse.
