Patti, Thanks for the info. At one time, I also checked the Illinois Statewide Death Index and was excited at first to find the listing for Lucy B. Tyler. I wrote for a copy of the death certificate and then found out that this Lucy was not the wife of Ralph Tyler, although the date of death lead me to think it was a possibility. This Lucy was a 9 month old African-American baby who sadly died of spinal meningitis. Lucy and Ralph Tyler were caucasian.
