    3. Edward, an additional note that may help you. Curtis Kendall Harvey was born 1815 in Caledonia Co, VT, son of Ira Harvey. This birth record is found on the USGENWEB site for Caledonia Co. The 1840 census finds him in Knox Co, IL, he probably married Hannah before the move. He died there in 1848. There are a few researchers who have data posted on him. Two on rootsweb and one on the LDS site. BUT.......they are stating Hannah's maiden name as Hannah K. Seaver. And they are stating he died 1880 in Kentucky, which must be wrong. Yet they do have the correct 3 Harvey children found with Hannah in Knox Co, 1850. Elizabeth (shown as Susan in 1880), Ellen (shown as Henrietta in 1850 and E. Henrietta in 1880) & Curtis Jr. There is one Proctor household in Caledonia, VT in 1840, no Seaver's in 1830 or 1840. So these postings on her maiden name may be wrong but I would suggest you focus your search in the Vermont location, it may yield some answers. Knox Co website shows will executed for Hannah Eads 1898, researchers state her death as 1897. Knox Co courthouse will very likely have her death record and the library has a very good collection of old newspaper on microfilm. Eads b1857 and her mother Hannah K (Proctor) Eads b abt 1815 and father John Eads are ancestors whom I cannot trace back beyond their residence in Knox and Henry counties Illinois. Does anyone know anything about them? They reportedly are DAR and Mayflower society people. Kate was my g grandmother. Also Hannah K may have been related to Francis Scott Key; we think her middle name was Key. Any obituaries, birth records, or?? 3. Patti: Thank you for your help. Lib P. Harvey was C K Harvey and Hanna (Proctor) (Eads) by her first marriage. Lib married Alfred Craig, who was a judge among other things. He also helped my grandfather George Edward Stilson (Hanna Ead's grandson by her second marriage) attend college in Knoxville. My mother has photographs of most all of these people, unfortunately most of them are not labeled, although Judge Craig and Hanna Eads both are. Hanna and John Eads had two children, John Jr. who died at about 8 or 9 by falling off of a train (we have his death photograph) and my great grandmother Kate (Eads) Stilson. I also found the Knox County bio on Alfred Craig. Those bio's are wonderful, send my thanks to whomever is managing that program. The below information cannot be correct; it must be for another . I did get Rootsweb.com information on John Eads, his first wife, Margaret Anderson, their children, etc. and lists Hannah Proctor as his second wife. Also lists her name as Hannah K. Eads and Hannak K. Harvey. The K. presumably is for "Key" I have no death cert. but Donna Smith forwarded an obituary. Thanks again to everyone who is helping, Edward Baltzer ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce or Patti Lawson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 06, 2004 10:32 AM Subject: Re: [ILKNOX-L] Hannah K ({Proctor) Eads > Edward, an additional note that may help you.
