He either divorced or abandoned her and their son William Henry Wisenburg. A Rebecca Wisenberger later remarried Carlos Alford on 8/9/1851 in Knox County, IL. The family Bible shows her surname as Alford so it appears to be the correct person. If someone could do a census lookup for me for that time period I would really appreciate it. I will gladly share the information I have on descendants of William Henry Wisenburg.
