    3. Foxie, I noticed you have Townsend in your tree. My great great grandmother Mary (Johnson) Martin married a second time to a Townsend. I wonder if there is a connection. I remember looking at my great grandmother's marriage certificate and seeing that name and then looking it up in the Illinois statewide marriage index and TOWNSEND, GEORGE W MARTIN, MARY M JOHNSON (MRS) 03/01/1882 001/0058 00004651 MERCER that is why i was having problems finding Hettie before she married my great grandfather.... 3. Hi Mary, Yes I do have Townsend's in my family Tree Sara married William Christopher Wallace her father was Aaron Townsend who is buried in the Berwick Cemetery at Berwick. Sarah is buried at the Mosher Cemetery with William and his second wife. I belive William's mother's Huldah Whitman is buried there also but can not found her tombstone and we have looked for the last twenty years digging up older ones that lie in the ground and covered up and poking around. But haven't been able to locate her tombstone. Aaron & Frances Schofield Townsend didn't have a George and then I looked at Aaron's father's family James & Polly Baldwin Townsend and still no George. My Townsends as far as I know came from NY to Warren Co., IL. if they stopped in between there I have no idea about it. Most of mine some are in or were in Knox Co., IL but not all of them. The Dolan's, Shenault, Shenaut this name is spelled so many different ways through history it is almost hard to tell now what it was, Curry's, this is all on my mom's side of the family as my dad's lived up in Bureau, Stark counties and I grew up in Stark Co., Toulon, IL. small town girl. and still small town. Dahinda is even smaller than Toulon is. sorry about no George. Have a wonderful day Foxie Volunteer Knox & Warren RAOK Member of the Knox & Warren Co.
