Does Charles R. Herren mention the surname NEVITT in his memoirs? The Nevitts lived in Knox County and Whiteside County in that time period. Clement Nevitt went to the gold fields of California and is listed there in the 1850 census. Is it possible that Charles and Clement were in the same group that left for the gold fields? And while our weather was turning towards colder. I've been doing some great updates for all of you out there in cyberland. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/county/knox/ the 1899 Historical Encyclopedia IL Knox Co. Kathy & I have all the biographies that are in the book online now. I've been jumping for joy. Been quite an accomplishment. Now Kathy is working on finishing up the township histories for this book. Have most of them online with just a couple more to go. Then I worked most of yesterday putting Henderson Cemetery Tombstone Photos online. There are two pages attainable from the Cemetery page. the first page has 91 tombstones photos on it with surnames of Dunbar, Windom, Ruberg, Buttons, Tucker, Condra, Mitchell, Parkins, Adams, Shay, Little, Maxwell, Robertson, and many more. The second tombstone Photo gallery has 281 tombstone photos online. with surnames of Junk, Robertson, Baer, Osborn, Ercikson, Hale, Taylor, Adams, Martin, Miller, Folger, Markham, just to name a few. Will be easier to find the tombstone photo you want as I sat and put the names under them. some of the older ones I put the whole information under it if I could read the tombstone. The photos in the galleries are cropped for easier downloading in the galleries click on them and the original photos with flowers if there were any will be visible. Enjoy with many more to come as I have plenty on my computer just need to find time in which to get them online an! d uploaded. Second page if you have a slow interenet connection like i do will take a bit to download. Have a good day and happy Gene hunting to you and yours. No, I'm afraid this is someone repeatedly advertising her stuff that she has listed on ebay. You will notice she uses a different email address every time. Perhaps rootsweb message boards should just add a category for genealogy related items for sale and limit it to one posting for the item. For now, we all just have to ignore/delete! :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Candace Allen" <callen@cableone.net> To: <ilknox@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 10, 2006 11:17 PM Subject: Re: [ILKNOX] Original 1920’s KNOX COUNTY, Illinois Diaries on Ebay It is probably caused by a virus on her computer and she has no idea that this is happening - or how to stop it.
