Maner, it listed just the birth dates and date of death for his wife Julia 1902 - 1969, son Larry K. 1938 - 1959, son C. Orin 1923 - 1949, and daughter Jane (I think that in my handwriting that it is Jane and not June) 1934 - 1939. It did not list any service record for Larry or Orin. I did not look at all of the cemetery listings for other Maners on other pages after finding Thomas so I don't know about Arthur or Ralph. I do have to go to Galesburg in the next couple of days and may be able to look further in the book and also may be able to drive over to Williamsfield to try to get your picture. I am sorry I can not tell you anymore but if I do find the graves of Thomas's sons, I will be glad to look for you

I'm wondering do you recall if there was anything on the military service on the son's of Thomas & Julia (Eastman) Maner recorded at the library? I "think" all 4 sons (Art, Larry, Orin, & Ralph are veterans). I have found two online transcriptions of the cemetery, but they dont list the military markers, by chance were any of the military markers of there sons transcribed in the library's records listing there service? I would like like some help to find the obits of Mabel LEACH and Alexander "Sandy" MORGAN. She was about 67 yrs. of age in 1949. Widowed and divorced. Had one son who lived in IL. Sandy was 70's +. They lived south of Oneida and south of the old Hobbs School on a farmette. He had farmed and mined coal. She kept house for him. I do not know if they were related. He is from a long line of MORGAN's in the Knox Co. area. One or both may be buried in the Oneida Cem. No proof of that. I would sincerely appreciate any help. Thank You, ginny

Are we sure of the date? Gilson cemetery is just a few miles outside of the city where I live and could try to find the headstone . The cemetery books list a few Daltons in Gilson cemetery. Is this Rosa Dalton the one that was born in 1874 and married to an Emery J. Dalton 1864 -1927? If so then her death date was not all the way filled in and could look on the headstone .

RICHEY b. abt. 1815, Kentucky, d. after 1880, Abingdon married 8 February, 1844, Knox Co., Illinois divorced before 1880 Nancy DODGE b. abt. 1828, Indiana, died after 1900, Abingdon Children: William, Frank, Douglass, Elmer, and possibly one more who died quite young. It seems that only Frank and Elmer made it to adulthood. Samuel was a tailor, an official of Indian Point Township, a Justice of the Peace. Frank and Elmer became printers. Frank lived with his mother until her death, and seems not to have married. My great Uncle Thomas Arthur Maner was a WW1 Veteran & has a Veterans marker at his gravesite. It would be very helpful if I could obtain a photo copy of his marker listing his service as its been many years & his daughter tells me she has no idea where any of his military records are. I'm currently submitting a list of family members names who are veterans to the town my gr uncle Tom was born in & enlisted from. He would be listed with his younger brother who served WW2 and a grandfather who served in the Civil war. As well as many other kinsman in his hometown, the request for info is on this web site www.byarsok.com - Many Thanks in advance for any assistance, Rebecca Maner beckymaner@tx.rr.com

Hello, Does anyone know anything about Nancy Dodge who married Samuel Richey/Ritchey/Richie/etc. 8 February, 1844 in Knox County, Illinois? Through census tarcking, they lived in Abingdon, she seems to have had 3 sons: William, Frank, and Douglas. It seems only Frank made it to adulthood. Nancy died before 1870? This Samuel was the one whho was elected to the first town coucil of Indian Point? Again, through census tracking, he was a tailor, then a justice of the peace? Have I got this right? Has anyone got more on them, especially on Nancy? Parents, possible brother, burial. All leads much appreciated. Thank you A --------------------------------- We have the perfect Group for you.
