Author: kajyal Surnames: Smith, Hagan Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.knox/3848/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for any info on Christina Smith who married a William or Wilford Hagan July 23, 1850. Christina shows up in the 1850 census as 19 years of age, born Ohio, & living with her brother George W. Smith. I'm assuming they are the same person. There is no trace of a Christine or Christina Hagan in the 1860 census. There is a William F.Hagan in Fulton Co. which borders Knox Co. He is married to a Mary & there are Smith children in the household. There is a marriage record in Knox Co. for a William Hagan to Mary Coomes March 24, 1856. It appears Christina died shortly after she married unless there are multiple Williams which aren't showing up in census records. I did run across a Message thread on Genforum that talked about a David McCoy b. 1842 living to be 100 yrs old, but no more info; and since there is another David A McCoy b. Georgia around the same time, I cannot prove that it is or isn't him. Any help????? Forever Grateful, Lylla S. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Let me know, please. ginny *************************** R E E D**W A T T E R S** ************************************ I may be grasping at straws, but in the 1850 Census of Knox there is a Henry AREA Family in Henderson. Henry's wife has a very unusual given name, Diadama and she is born in New York and her maiden name was DAVISON or DAVISSON. I am wondering, if she could be a sister to Benjamin. Thanks. Karla

    3. Hi must of missed this seeing this post Davison's are in the Henderson Cemetery & also did research for a lady out in CA. on them. I have some tombstone photos also I could look up for you if I don't already have them on my site. I have put some on the Henderson Cemetery page. link to my Knox Site is. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/county/knox/ If I am remembering correctly the one you are looking for is buried there. There also might be some biographies in the bio section have the whole 1899 historical Encyclopedia online under Biographies I think not sure. I lost my mom a couple of weeks ago and brain doesn't always work right. Also, have the whole 1912 History by Albert Perry online, with parts and biographies not the whole book yet of the Portrait and Biographical Alubm online there too with plenty of obituraries in the obit sections not sure if I've gotten this surname added yet. Thanks. let me know if you like to contact this other person. Have a wonderful day everyone. 1. [ILKNOX] BENJAMIN DAVISON OR DAVISSON
    2. Karla Nurnberg
    3. Dear Listers, I apologize for not entering the man's name in the body of the e-mail. His name was Benjamin DAVISON or DAVISSON. He was born in New York according to the Information for him on the 1860 Census. Also living in Galesburg was a young man Aria DAVISSON or DAVISON, who may be another son to Benjamin. (Ancestry.com lists the young man's name, as Greg, but it is Aria.) The occupation of Benjamin was that of a tintype artist or an early photographer. Would someone please do a lookup for me in a History of Knox County to locate a biography on this man? Where was he born in New York? I may be grasping at straws, but in the 1850 Census of Knox there is a Henry AREA Family in Henderson. Henry's wife has a very unusual given name, Diadama and she is born in New York and her maiden name was DAVISON or DAVISSON. I am wondering, if she could be a sister to Benjamin. Thanks.
