    1. Re: [ILKNOX-L] Death Records by date
    2. Cheryl Wixon Gocken
    3. Grace, I checked the IL state death index for any spelling of Hendrickson and then I also checked it for Susan Davis, just in case she went back to her first married name. The only thing close that I found was - Susan Hendrix d 20 Feb 1937 Knox Co. At this point, if you are sure of her death date, I would order in the Knox Co. papers for the date and see if there was an obit, either she married again or died elsewhere. 2. Bob Miller
    3. I invite you to visit the Knox County USGenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilknox/knindex.htm to see some design changes we have just completed. As the site has continued to grow, we wanted to make it easier for you to navigate and explore, and faster for you to find what you want. We have also just expanded our Date-Specific Records section. It now includes a complete transcript of the subscribers to the 1871 Atlas Map of Knox County at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilknox/date_specific/date_1871atlas_a.htm. This document provides the Name, Residence, Business, Nativity, Knox County Arrival Date, and Place Arrived From for over 1900 Knox County residents. Let me or Pat Thomas know what you think about the changes or of any suggestions you have to make the site an even better resource for Knox County genealogy. 3. Hello, I share all of the sentiments you have expressed about the wonderful work Pat Thomas has done for us as Coordinator of the Knox County USGenWeb site. She has made lasting contributions that will benefit us each time we visit the site. The good news is that Pat is not gone! Our new arrangement only frees Pat from much of the day-to-day design and organization of the site. It does NOT mean she has retired! Pat assures me that she will be as involved as ever - answering questions, gathering content for the site, and managing the Knox County GenConnect pages and this email list. We will count on it! I am sure you all join me in thanking Pat for all she has brought to Knox County genealogy - and in looking forward to many more years of working together. 3. Lynn, Are you somehow related to Rebecca Alford? Her son William Wisenburg is my ancestor and several of us throughout the US are working on doing the genealogy. Rebecca's maiden name was Smith and apparently there are several birthdates possible for her. From what I can tell, it appears Rebecca and Carlos (Charles) Alford moved from Knox County sometime after their 1851 marriage to Peoria County, IL. They are both buried in the Princeville Twp Cemetary in Princeville, IL. If you are interested in the Wisenburg line, the family bible is available online at www.iltrails.org Appreciate the info on the census and the names of the parents. If I have any info you might like, let me know. Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Knox/855 Surname: Wydenbarger, Smith, Alford, Wisenberger, Wisenburg ------------------------- Am looking for information on Rebecca Smith and Lewis Wydenbarger i.e. dates of birth, death, where they came from etc. Rebecca Smith married Lewis Wydenbarger on 12/10/1840 in Knox County, IL. He either divorced or abandoned her and their son William Henry Wisenburg. A Rebecca Wisenberger later remarried Carlos Alford on 8/9/1851 in Knox County, IL. The family Bible shows her surname as Alford so it appears to be the correct person. If someone could do a census lookup for me for that time period I would really appreciate it. I will gladly share the information I have on descendants of William Henry Wisenburg.
