I'm disable so its hard to get around and do things.     3. After looking closer at the map . It is a old railroad stop on the Santa Fe tracks appox. 1/2 way between Galesburg and Cameron.

Hi Sharon, Here is my favorite page... http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html After a few false searches I came across Surrey populated place in Warren Co. (next to Knox) . It identifies it as 12 km west of Galesburg. if you go to this page and fill in the blanks you can get a map...Looks like it in the area of Berwick. Good luck.

If so, there is a lot of info on this family. ... George SEDGWICK was born 1852 in Clinton co PA, son of John SEDGWICK and Ellen TATE of England. John SEDGWICK and his family lived in PA, OH and Wapello co IA. George SEDGWICK married Minnie FLETCHER Wyman in Monroe co IA in 1893 and they lived in Frederic in that county until about 1922 when they moved to Galesburg IL. George died there in 1930 and Minnie in 1954 though both were returned to Iowa for burial. Many of their children lived in the Galesburg area. I am trying to find out about her family, her parents Mr. & Mrs. Isaac McVey or if anyone could find her or her family in any census records. Frances had a daughter Elsa Marie McVey they called her Minnie McVey, Frances was never married, and her daughter died before she did. Anyone who can find any information or knows any information on Frances McVey or the Isaac McVey family I would appreciate your help. Thank you for your time.

    3. Grace, I was reading through some old messages this evening. I may have already sent you a note on this. I have "brick wall" John T. Smith, born 1821 in PA who moved to Knox County IL. He moved there sometime around 1840-1850, married, resided in Knoxville and died there in 1901. Does this connect? Thanks.
