I am an Osborn and my ggg-grandfather was Stephen Osborn who was the first sheriff of Knox Co. and my Chittenden line married some Terpenings in fact I have a pic of some Terpenings when they were kids with my gg-grandfather Allen Chittenden...... George Armstrong was born October 25,1844, he married Kartha Cox in Galesburg on April 6, 1875. According to the record I have they had one child and then raised another girl by the name of Stella Kelly. She went by the name of Armstrong. Darleen, I corresponded with a lady (sorry I can't find her name now) who was looking for the surname COON, but I do remember giving her the name of a friend of my mothers as she is the mother - in - law of a Nancy Coon Taylor. You might check with her - she is quite elderly. Her name is Edna Taylor - 205 N Lilac - Elmwood, IL 61529 or better yet - Nancy Coon Taylor's address is #1 Roth CT - Metamora, IL (sorry I don't have the zip). They are both in the Peoria County area - right next to Know county. Collinson, Charles A farmer, son of Thomas and Hannah, natives of England he was born at Yorkshire, Eng., May 14, 1826, and spent his early lifein the coal mines of Pennsylvania, where he went with his parents at the age of four years. He came to Knox County in 1852, and was married July 17, 1847. He is the father of eleven children. He united with the M. E. Church in 1857 and has acted as Steward and Sunday School Superintendent. He served three years in the war for the Union as Corporal. He is a Democrat. P. O. Galva, IL. Collinson, George, M. Thomas, his father, was born in England, and his mother, Louisa, was a native of France. George was born in Pennsylvania April 12, 1846, and spent his early years on a farm, and removed to Lynn, Mass., in 1851 and soon after came to Illinois. He married Mary A. My Father was Oscar Francis McCullough and my mother was Eula Binge. I'm trying to find out where my GGGrandparents, Hugh McCullough is buried and when he passed away? My GGGrandmother Nancy died in 1866 along with her twin children Nancy and Charles. They are buried in Doddsville Cemetery, Doddsville IL Hugh was 65 and married again to Sally Sloan and had three children.
