    3. Jude: I found my Illinois immigrants info at the County Clerk's office in Morgan County. The very nice staff had to go down to the basement to collect them for me but what a dear thing to have them - actually found another brother to our ggrandfather...Of course they were their intentions - not the finalization which I found later in Nebraska for our man. Good luck - Marge -----Original Message----- From: Jude [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, March 27, 2004 7:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ILKNOX-L] Naturalization Records Hi Knox County Listers: Does anyone know if naturalization records from the mid-late 1800's are kept at the County Probate Court? If not, do you know where I would look for them? Trying to locate the naturalization papers on Jeremiah Coffey who was naturalized in 1860, according to the 1900 census return. Thank you, Jude

    3. Hello Margaret, Yes, the book was published by Loren. I have tried to find him for 4 years with no luck. Our cousin Wayne Walter in California has a copy of it, but he also doesn't know what happened to him. The last I found of him he was, I believe, in Oregon. I think I sent you a copy of what he had sent to Galesburg library. At that time he was in North Carolina. I will check with Wayne again to see if he has heard from him, maybe he would be willing to copy the book for us.
