Someone responded that the forest preserve owns that house now. I think that is probably right. Usually they are pretty good about preservation. When beautiful old things go it because of a subdivision going in. I don't think Big Wood Church and Annunciation are the same. It is a Congregational Church--they use the baptistry in the church I attend in Warrenville. They sold some of their land to this huge peaker plant and I think they are going to build on the present church. i will check around with some of the old timers I know and see if they remember anything about the Eola area.
