They can be extremely helpful in narrowing down time frames in the community and for Swedes, they frequently list a birth place. Another option might be to explore the area libraries through on-line library catalogs and see what's available to you through inter-library loan. LaFox is a pretty small community, perhaps their historical society or Chamber of Commerce (if they have one) could be of some assistance.
