The 1930 census shows a 47 year old Lydia Reese living in Hanover twp. in Cook County IL, the wife of John R Reese (38) and son Warren H. Reese (6). Hanover twp is just east of Elgin (actually it it includes the eastern part of Elgin) and right on the Kane / Cook county lines and includes the towns of Streamwood, Hanover Park, and Bartlett. You might want to check the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin who has an excellent historical collection. I can try to check the Batavia papers in that time frame, but hopefully someone else can check the Elgin papers (Ricki?). There are two large cemeteries in the eastern side of Elgin but, unfortunately, have not been transcribed (that I know of).
