The following appeared in a summer 1907 issue of the Batavia (IL) Herald: "At the German Lutheran Church, Rev F. Miessler officiating, at 7:30, Wednesday, June 19th, 1907, occurred the marriage of Mr. Frank Koepke, son of Mr. H. Koepke, of East Wilson street, and Miss Elizabeth Melcher, daughter of Mr. F. J. Melcher. A reception was held at the home of the bride, one mile south of the city. Mr. and Mrs. Koepke will make their home in Chicago."
