Hi listers, If anyone is surfing the 1930 Census would you look for the Richard and Gertrude FITZSIMMONS. I found them near Dixon in the 1920 census, and know they lived in Aurora in 1930. There would have been 6 or 7 children then. I have tried a lot of different combinations, but nothing has turned up. Thanks much, Grace

Have you tried the townships near Aurora? I don't have them immediately at hand but I'm reasonably sure that going to the Kane Co (genealogy) website would be a quick way to find them. The Fitzsimmons may have lived "almost" in Aurora. Or have you tried searching by using the least common first name only? Gertrude or Trudey or Trudy? Or perhaps one of the children had an unusual name you could use. Then, if the problem is a misspelled version of Fitzsimmons, you will be likely to recognize "Tilgseuuamo" as the right name. (There are sooo many possibilities of letters that get confused for one another.) Good luck and good patience to you! Kristy
