My John Mead family arrived in Squaw Grove Twp, DeKalb Co [on the border of Kane Co] from NY in about 1854. A stroke of good luck has led me to information through the spouse of one child. Anyone else's family member marry a Mead? Elizabeth, called Lib, Mead [John's sister] married a HAZZARD John Mead's children: Edward Mead married ADA DEAN Harvey Mead married SARAH LASHER/ LASKE and had a son, Ira Caroline Mead married WILLIAM DURRELL Jane Mead married ROBERT HADLEY Phoebe Mead married a STEWART/ STUART and had a son John whose daughter or sister Alta married a MARTIN, and a George Stewart married Gladys ? William Mead married JANE ? and had children Nellie, Cooley, Lottie, Puttilie, Walter, and Ralph Are any of these names familiar to anyone?
