I only have access with webtv and the sites I found that say they have this type of map I can't get into. If someone has time can you look and see if Elwood, IL Bloomington, IL, and Gilman IL are all in the same area. They are making my searches pure hell. I've received several, and also different types of documents on the same people, and each one lists a different location of birth. For example, I have a Florence Lloyd. Her death cert. says she was born in Gilman IL, her marriage cert. has birth place as Elwood IL, and on a death cert. of one of her children, it lists the mothers place of birth as Bloomington. The same conflicting info is found on 4 different people...it varies back and forth between the three towns. I'm guessing the towns might be in the same county, or possibly in a corner where the counties run together...if anyone knows please fill me in,....thanks debs >> Debs, Check your local library and genealogical societyies or Family History Center for a book by William Thorndale and William Dollarhide, title Map Guide to the U.S. Federal Censuses, 1790-1920; published by Genealogical Publishing Co. in Baltimore, MD. It has maps of all the states and territories with county lines for every ten year period when the federal census was done. Very useful book. Bob Trapp
