He is not (according to the list) buried in Elgin. He was married in Elgin, Kane, IL., 27 Oct 1858. He was listed on an 1859 census as a farmer/labor on the W side. My gr grandfather, also was married in Elgin, Kane, IL., 15 Oct 1889. His name was George Prindle and was a butcher at 81 Bartlett Pl. I will appreciate any information you can share with me. Thank you. >> Clintonville is now known as South Elgin. They have a Historical Society, that I believe is now located in the Peaselee house. South Elgin City Hall can probably give you more details as it was located in their building at one time.
