Cidney - I wonder if you would have time to look up a couple of naturalizations for me which may have taken place in Kane county? My g-grandmother's brother Hamlet HARTLEY b. Westhoughton, England 1838. Immigration dates of 1861, 1862 and 1866 appear on two censuses and his obituary respectively, but he appears on the British census for April 1861 so he certainly didn't arrive before then. On 24 Mar 1868 he was married in Aurora, Kane, Illinois to Sarah MILLS b. Oldham, England 1850 - I have no immigration details for her. Some time after the marriage they moved to Pawnee, NE - first child born there June 1870. I'd be very interested to know if you find any naturalization details for either of these two.
