I'm still relatively new to the genealogy thing and have read several manuals on issuing numbers to the people in your tree. It had been working fine, but I've recently run into into a problem. I have turned up some people whos placement in the family falls into a spot a few pages back. I didn't know they existed, so didn't leave a blank spot, or issue a number to them. Do I have to go back and change all the numbers? This would be a real pain since I have used the numbers in some old photo books, and other books I have started keeping vital records I've collected in. There has to be a way to deal with this,....I just can't seem to figure it out. The system I have used is the basic males getting even #s, Fe odd #s. debs
