I am researching the surnames Johnston and Carlton. My Grandfather was John Wesley Johnston born 21 Feb. 1869, the second child of William and Louisana Johnston. Name and or sex of first child is unknown.May have had a half sister with surname of Hall. G father beleived to have first married Hattie Foster in the 1880's and that one child was born to this union name and or sex unknown. Hattie beleived to have passed on around 1890/91. His second marriage was to Ellen McClanahan in 1892, two or more children were born to this union beleive Ellen and children to now be deceased. His third marriage was to Alice Carlton in 1899, to this union sseven children were born of which three died in infancy. The remaining four are all now deceased, of this four the only daughter Bessie Marie was my mother. I hold up to date information on this group of four children. I know nothing of the Carlton, McClanahan or Foster families. I feel quite sure they were all residents of Johnson Co. Any help will be ap[prciated.
