Bob: Just wanted to thank you for keeping me straight, I guess when I said Sarah (Sally) COPELAND was the sister of James I was thinking about John. When I first started this genealogy hunt quite a few years ago I had a very small computer and even smaller program. I received about 60 pages of COPELAND research from Lucille Harney and also have some pages from the book you mentioned. After awhile the William's, James's and John's began to sortof run together. However I have both John S. COPELAND and James COPELAND as both having son's names William P. Here is what I have on John S. John S. COPELAND, b: abt 1810 in Bedford County, TN, married Anne WARD on 22 Jan 1835 in Johnson County, IL. Their children were: William P. COPELAND (11 Oct 1848-8 Jun 1901) James COPELAND John Ward COPELAND Sarah Ann COPELAND He showed up in the Johnson County Marriage Book as "John S. COPLAND". He was the son of John A.
