Surnames: Lisenbey/Lisenby/Lisenbee Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2g.2ADE/912.2.1 Message Board Post: I'm not sure who I'm looking for, I know this, some of the Lisenbey/Lisenby family left Illinois and moved to Arkansas. I am not sure of the fathers name. The Lisenbey's that I know of in the late 1800's and early 1900's who list their father as born in Illinois are a Matthew and Charles Robert, or Charles Joseph. (who was born in Illinois also). Charles was my gg-grandfather. He named his son Joseph Robert. I know it isn't much to go on, I was just hoping that someone else researching the Lisenbey family would have these names recorded or have some "missing" Lisenby men in their tree. I have seen it spelled all three ways in the census'. Plus as Lizenbey. Thanks for trying to help, no one has ever been able to find out anymore.
