There is a Stephen Cole Rentfro who married Elizabeth Hicks b. 1786 TN. Stephen and Elizabeth were married in Wayne Co KY. This family made it to Illinois and many of the Rentfros in Johnson Co are descended from this family. Hope this is helpful.
