Ludean, The 1850 census lists the Frederick Graves family living in the same area as the Hiram Worley family. Frederick Graves was 56 and was born in TN. His wife Jincy (listed as Jane in 1860) was also 56 and was born in SC. Children still at home were Frederick, Mary, and Louisa all born in Illinois. This couple could possibly be the parents of your Vernella Graves Worley. Frederick Graves and his wife Jane were shown in the 1860 census but not the 1870 census. You may want to check probate records to see if a will or other court records show Vernella Graves Worley as an heir. Ed Murrie

Thanks, Ed, I have wondered about Frederick and John Graves. John was living near the Worley family before the census started to list all persons in a household. I may have to do as you say. I live in Arkansas and don't travel that direction, but may do so later. Thanks again. Ludean
