Helen My great grandmother was Martha Gibbs m. Alexander Thorn she may be of the Union Co IL Gibbs , but I have not found anything on her. I know that my gg grandfather Alexander Westly Thorn was in the Lick Creek , Union Co IL area probably near the Johnson/ Union Co IL line.
