I often heard my mother and grandparents speak of Dr. Thornton. I know he delivered me and probably others of , also. He was very well known and highly respected. I am 77 so that will give you a time frame of when he was practicing in Goreville. By now, noting the date of your post perhaps you have learned much more about your family.
