Does anyone know of Margaret Hall who married J. T. Frizzell, parents of Mary Ida Frizzell, wife of James Armstrong Waters? James and Ida are buried at Zion in Pope, but I believe the Frizzells are from Johnson Co. Sharon

Does any kind soul have the 1870 Johnson Co, IL census, or access to it -- who would look up a William B. Kesler or Kessler, maybe a Bill Kessler, and see if wife is Rachael and how old she was and where she was born? If this census is online somewhere, please tell me where and I will search it myself. Thanks! Cousin Mary in OK
We have established a close connection between our McCLAINs and the DAMRONs. Both families seem to be from NC via Ky and Tn and were early settlers in Gallatin Co, IL. Both families moved to Weakley Co, TN about 1823. Charles DAMRON was the executor of Charles McCLAIN's estate in 1846. There are several marriages to McCLAIN women noted in the DAMRON books. We just can't sort out which McCLAIN families they came from. If we can make these connections we can extend you our McCLAIN line back to 1711 in MD. Can you help us? Thank you. pj Thompson [email protected] Weakley County, Tn & Garry Brown [email protected] Albuquerque, NM McCLAIN cousins and VERY dedicated McCLAIN researchers..........

Hi - what is the web site for social security death index? Thanks. PAT
I know that every year the Zion Cemeteries (old & new) Association has a Memorial Day Service sometime during Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately, I don't know what day it is scheduled for or the time the service starts. I have numerous relatives in both cemeteries (Oliver & Wells) and would like to attend if I can make it down. So, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance! Susan Carroll Kelley in IL

Mt Zion Cemetery is in Buncombe, IL, isn't it? PAT
according to the cemetery book I have of Elvira Twp., it says....Mt. Zion Cemetery, To reach this cemetery from Vienna, take Rt. 146 west 5 miles to the Rt. 37 junction. Turn north on Rt. 37 and go 3.1 miles to Buncombe. Turn right in Buncombe on the Buncombe road. Go .7 mile to the church and cemetery which will be on the left side of the road. Burials began here in the early 1870's and it is still being used today. it is a well maintained cemetery. Some of the older markers are very difficult to read. There are a few named Jackson buried in this cemetery also. ----- Original Message -----
