I am researching all the Gray lines in Johnson County, and have a Lucinda Caroline, born about 1839, daughter of James Madison Gray (b. 1806-TN) and Elizabeth Copeland (we think - b. 1805 - NC.) Lucinda married James A. Simmons 5 Dec. 1853 in Johnson County, Ill., and they moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where she died. I have 2 sons listed - 1860 Johnson County census - William, b. 1855, and Hezekiah, born 1858. Any info you might have would be appreciated. I didn't see a tie in what you sent, however.
