I'm now interested in finding an intent to naturalize from one James Scott who came to Galena from Ireland in 1834 or 1835. He married Margaret Bonson, and I know that the Bonsons are well documented in the area. I am hoping that James's intent to naturalize will give a more specification origin than "Ireland". Perhaps a county or a town in that area of the world. Would anyone happen to know where these documents are kept? Are they kept in Chicago, Galena, or where? I've read different things on the internet, and I'm confused to say the least. Sorry to bother you all, Stephen Scott
