I don't know if these are the people you are looking for but here is some info I have on the Raw family. Raw,Anthony Juror in 1862 and 1869. Daughter Mary died in 1871. Wife is Melissa. Sold his place at public auction in 1871. Died of stomach disease in 1872 age 58. Taxes overdue on his land in 1874. Raw,Elizabeth T. Married Charles W. Leekley in 1868. Raw,George Attended Etta James and Reuben Atkinson wedding in 1877 Raw,Joseph Juror in 1869, 1873, 1877. Read the Declaration of Independence at the 1869 4th of July picnic. Lived next to George Leekley; hogs got cholera in 1870. Executor of Anthony Raw estate in 1874. Sold land in section 35 to Willam Southcott in 1875. Leased his farm and had an auction in 1877. Elected President of the Temperance Union in 1878. Debated in 1878. Raw, Miss M played the organ at a church festival in 1875 Raw,Mary Daughter of Anthony and Melissa Raw died of heart disease at age 15 in 1871. Raw,Martha Married J.B. Liddle of Galena in 1874. Raw,Melissa Wife of Anthony, Mother of Mary who died in 1871. Executor of Anthony Raw estate in 1874 Raw,Peter Had lung fever in 1873. Picked for jury pool in 1874. Witness at Pooley/Vipond wedding in 1876 Raw,R.S. Will be moving to Virginia City, NV to work on the Sutro Tunnel of which John D Bethel (late of C H) is the superintendent. Sent back local papers to the Galena Gazette in 1875. Got a promotion at Sutro Tunnel in 1876. Had a mountain in the Palmyra range named after him (Mount Raw) In 2005 known as Rawe’s Peak His wife’s mother is Mrs. Hall from Apple River.
