I just found some fascinating info last week and I need some help unscrambling it. I found two marriages for Anna Tilton, living in Warren, JoDaviess County. Surprisingly the marriages were in Lafayette County, Wisconsin. This is just across the Illinois, Wisconsin border from Warren. The first marriage was Anna Tilton to Orlando G. Black, 13 Jan 1864 in Wayne, Lafayette, Wisconsin. The 2nd was Anna Tilton to Wiliam Baker,18 Aug 1872, Gratiot, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. After both marriage the couples came back to Warren. I haven't been able to find a death for this Orlando Black as yet. On the 1880 census (I have the 1880 disks) I found William and Anna living in Plum Creek, near Beloit, Mitchell, Kansas. On the 1900 census William and Anna are still in Kansas. In the information on Anna it states she had 1 child, 0 living. Was this child from the marriage to Orlando Black or William Baker? Anna's parents were, Enoch and Amelia Tilton. Samuel Black's parents, Wil! liam and Miranda Black, and William's parents were, Solomon and Delilah Baker. Any one out there connected to these families? Any leads appreciated. Thanks Aline
