Hi everyone, I haven't posted in quite a while - I think you all know of my cancer diagnosis. Many of you have been so kind as to keep me in your prayers and have written to my family asking how I am doing. I'm here to give you a report. I had my surgery last Friday (Sept 21), and recovery is coming along beautifully. I've been so very lucky through this that the chemotherapy has not made me sick like it does for most people. No nausea, no debilitating fatigue; really, none of the symptoms that you usually expect from chemotherapy. Surgery went fine, but we are still waiting for pathology reports before the doctor can determine the next course of treatment. Things are going very well though, and I plan to get over this - and when I do, I plan to offer to help the new Jo Daviess USGenWeb coordinators with the website. I have had several requests for searches of the Jo Daviess marriage records. Due to the health situation I have been unable to do anything about those requests, but when my body is healed enough to crank that microfilm viewer, I will get back to responding to those inquiries. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and your continuing support. It has been very much appreciated! -Cheryl Hemingway
