Hicks born 1856 in Brooklin, Canada, Florence Helene Hicks born May 21, 1861 in Canada, and Alice Mary Hicks bor nJuly 13, 1865 in Warren, Ill. Harriet's mother was Deborah age 35 born in Canada, father William age38 in Scotland, Harriet born Jan 1836 in Brooklin, Canada. There was Elisa born 1848, William born 1849, Lararah born 1846. In the 1851 Canadian census also had William Mathewson age 70 born in Scotland, Elizabeth Mathewson age 52, born Scotland, Jane Mathewson age 19 born in Scotland, Jimut (sp) age 17, born Canada, James age 15 born Canada, John age 12 born Canada, Ebinesor (sp) age 9 born Canada, Robert 36 born Scotland, Elizabeth age 32 born Scotland, James age 12, born Canada, Wm age 9 born Canada, Margaret age 7 born Canada, Mary age 1 born Canada. ! There is also a Alex Mathewson age 34, born in Scotland and Elizabeth age 28 born in Canada, Margan Helene age 3 born in Canada. All the older men were either laboror or farmers.
