Nancy, I spoke with my Grandfather, and he says that Hammond cemetery was located just south of Stockton at the intersection of Center Rd. and Airport Rd. where Highway 78 now runs. He said that the cemetery was on the northwest corner of that intersection. He also says that there is still one stone standing there. If you have a plat map of Jo Daviess county, it was in the very middle of the very bottom of section 14 in Stockton township. Hope this helps.
