Marjorie, I don't know anything about the Bonson family, but I am interested in the Watts family of Jo Daviess county. Do you have any more information on the Harriet Watts you mentioned--parents or siblings? My connection comes from James B. Watts (1817-1876) who came to Illinois from England (by way of Chicago) in 1834. It appears that he came with several siblings to Jo Daviess County, but I only have information on the above James and sisters Sophia and Catharine and brother William who probably died without issue in 1881.
