    3. My friends, To put this mildly, I have had an emergency medical condition announce it's presence. As a result, I will be out of commission for many weeks, if not months. Because of that, I NEED to put the Jo Daviess Co., IL USGenWeb site and this mailing list up for adoption. I want to give you, who have the greatest interest in Jo Daviess research, the first opportunity to adopt the list and website. I am going to let Richard Howland, who is the IL GenWeb coordinator, know of the situation and would ask that you contact him if you are interested in taking over for me. You can email Richard at [email protected] Life has a way of helping us set new priorities. I have realized that I need to spend what time I have left, however long that is, with my children, my husband, and working on my own genealogy. I have much work to do there. I have enjoyed the time I have spent coordinating the JoDaviess website. I say that I love "every blade of grass" that grows there, and that is pretty much the truth. Please help Richard find someone who will take care of the site and continue to provide good information to our visitors. I will continue to hope for the best results today and over the upcoming months. Cheryl Hemingway County Coordinator - Jo Daviess Co., IL USGenWeb http://users.rootsweb.com/~iljodavi

    3. Cheryl, Your email took me by surprise--I guess it's been about three years now that we have been electronically linked. I want to thank you for your generous gift of time and enthusiasm in helping all of us. My words seem inadequate right now and I'm struggling with these keys to type the right words--but my heart has already sent a prayer for courage and peace for you to carry on. I do believe that someday our spirits will meet. Thank you and thank you again, Susan Hart -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Susan Hart San Francisco State University Internet: [email protected] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- On Wed, 16 May 2001, Cheryl Hemingway wrote: > My friends, > > To put this mildly, I have had an emergency medical condition announce it's presence. 3. Cheryl, You have been instrumental in making my Jo Daviess County research a huge success during your tenure as County Coordinator. I have been contacted by literally hundreds of Jo Daviess County descendants. We have shared much information through the site, on this list and privately. I have roamed through website's fields of well-sewn grass and stopped often to smell the many roses! Thank you ever so much for this tremendous gift. I truly pray that the journey you are about to take permits you and your family to fill each other's lives with happiness and warm memories. Please try to stay in touch with the list from time to time. If there is anything that I can help you with in researching records in Jo Daviess County, please ask. I don't live there but I have many resources available that I will gladly put at your disposal. Ray Justus Chandler, AZ
