The Jo Daviess list is for anything related to Jo Daviess County, or that would might contain information about residents of Jo Daviess County. Since many of the residents of eastern Jo Daviess County went to Gratiot's Grove or up to Lancaster to be married, and there was a lot of cross-border travel between the two counties, I consider the post about the Lafayette County books to be appropriate. I wasn't asked beforehand if it could be posted, but I would have approved it. I work very hard to keep spam OFF the list, plus Rootsweb has it's own "spam-blaster", so we are hardly ever intruded upon with items for sale.
