Hi Richard, I hope you have a great time in JoDaviess county :) One thing I noticed is that you said your family lived and farmed in Weston. There is a Weston Road outside of Elizabeth in case you're interested in seeing that area. If you're coming from Elizabeth on Highway 20, make a left onto Highway 84 (going toward Hanover). Just at the bottom of that hill to the right will be Weston Road. I *think* there may be a cemetary somewhere along that road but I'm not sure if it a private family cemetary or what. Just a word of caution and hopefully some local listers can confirm this. Not sure when you're actually planning on arriving in Galena, but I believe the weekend of Oct. 6 is Country Fair weekend. If so, there will be a LOT of traffic in and around Galena and parking will be pretty limited. Otherwise, the locals are real friendly and I'm sure they'll help you with any information they can. You will probably want to call the Galena library in advance to find out the hours of the genealogy room. (I'm sure the number is listed on www.rootsweb.com/~iljodavi.) Good luck! Joellyn
