Missouri and buried at 'Snipe Hollow' JoDaviess Co., Illinois. Any cemeteries in the Snipe Hollow area, or sources online? This is a colorful guy! He had a lengthy affair with Mrs. Bell, probably the wife of Arthur G. Bell of JoDaviess County, Illinois. He served in the Civil War in the 96th Inf, Company F, JoDaviess County Volunteers and apparently shot himself in the foot to get out, but was never able to claim a pension for the injury. His wife Messina was never able to claim widows pension from his service either because she apparently forgot to divorce her first husband when she married Will. I would love to find his final resting place and would pay for a pic of the stone, if anyone bothered to purchase him one at that point! His wife Messina (Sina) died in the early 1900's and I can not track her place of burial either. They were in Guilford Twp, Jo Daviess Co., Illinois from at least 1855 until! his death in 1889.
