One thing to keep in mind when searching for the marriages from JD couples (if your names are common) is that most went to Grant or Lafayette Counties. Also just in case anyone wanted to order a cert I called Grant County today to verify the price and it is 7.00 payable to the Register of Deeds. I did get a marriage license from Grant Co for my own GGfather and Grant did ask for parents names (not maiden) and place of birth (of the husband) as early as 1866 so a license from there is more informative than the JD ones.
